Please read the following terms carefully. By submitting content (the “Content”) to The Chi Society through our online submission form, you acknowledge and agree to the following binding terms between you (“You” or “Your”) and The Chi Society, its affiliates, licensees, successors, agents, and assigns (collectively, “The Chi Society” or “We”).
Grant of Rights
By submitting the Content, You irrevocably grant The Chi Society a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide right to use, reproduce, modify, edit, distribute, display, perform, and create derivative works from the Content, in any format or media now known or later developed. This includes but is not limited to use in editorial, promotional, commercial, and social media materials.
While You retain ownership of the original Content, The Chi Society owns all rights to any derivative works or materials that incorporate the Content.
Use of Information
You consent to The Chi Society storing and using any personal information You provide, including Your name, email address, and social media accounts (the “Information”), for purposes of contacting You regarding the Content or related opportunities.
Release of Liability
By submitting the Content, You release The Chi Society from any claims or liabilities related to:
- Use, modification, or distribution of the Content.
- Any claims of defamation, invasion of privacy, or infringement on intellectual property rights.
- Compensation or consideration for the use of the Content.
- Any damages, emotional distress, or losses arising from the use of the Content.
You further agree to indemnify and hold The Chi Society harmless against any claims from third parties regarding the Content’s use.
Termination
Either You or The Chi Society may terminate this agreement with 30 days’ written notice (email acceptable). However, any Content already incorporated into derivative works or materials will remain in use without obligation for removal.
Representations and Warranties
By submitting the Content, You represent and warrant that:
- The Content is Your original work and does not infringe upon any third-party rights, including copyright or privacy.
- You are at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to agree to these terms.
- You have read and understand these Terms of Submission.
Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Florida, excluding its conflict of laws principles.
By submitting the Content, You acknowledge that You have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Submission in their entirety. If You do not agree to these terms, please do not submit Content.
